Lykes Bros. Inc. offers leasing opportunities on Lykes Ranch for farming and hunting. Whether you’re looking for productive farmland with modern water management infrastructure or a private hunting lease with access to some of Florida’s finest habitats, our leasing programs reflect the same commitment to quality and stewardship that defines all of our operations.
Our farms are located within the South Florida Water Management District and are fully permitted for both water use and surface water management. They have been constructed to manage irrigation and drainage at maximum efficiency through sound engineering design.
All drainage water leaving the farm is treated through a series of retention basins that reduce nutrient levels—providing a positive effect on water quality in the Lake Okeechobee basin. Our farming areas feature well-drained sandy soils that allow rapid drainage and excellent water table management.
Lykes Bros. Inc. has offered hunting leases for more than 50 years and understands what clients value in a private lease. We firmly believe our hunting leases are among the highest quality in the state. With habitats ranging from plantation forest to pasture and native wetlands, wildlife thrives—and our lessees benefit. Many of our clients consider their lease more than just an outlet for hunting; it’s a year-round getaway to enjoy the Florida outdoors.
If you’re interested in a hunt lease or membership on an existing lease, the first step is to complete the application. Please indicate your preference: lease, member, or either.
Lease: You are interested in being a hunting lease tenant and will be responsible for yourself and your members to ensure the terms of the lease agreement are met. Your information will be reviewed by the Lykes Ranch Lease Manager as opportunities arise.
Member: You are interested in joining an existing lease. Your information will be provided to current tenants seeking new members. Out of respect for tenant privacy, we do not release tenant contact information to prospective members. Generally, there are more member opportunities than lease opportunities.
Either: You are open to either opportunity.
After submitting your application, you will receive an automatic confirmation. Submissions matching available opportunities will be used to fill openings over the following 12 months, as they arise.
