We congratulate our President, CEO, and Board Member, Johnnie James, on his recent recognition from the Florida Chamber of Commerce.
He received the Florida Chamber Chair’s Award, which is the highest annual recognition the Chair of the Board of Directors awards volunteer leaders, members, or partners of the Florida Chamber. It is reserved for those who go “above and beyond” to advance the mission of the Florida Chamber. In Johnnie’s case, he was nominated for his many years of service on the Chamber Board, which included leadership on the Florida Chamber Policy Council, where he served as the Infrastructure and Growth Leadership Pillar Chair, and for his more recent leadership as Chair of the Florida Chamber Political Council.
“Johnnie was the definition of ‘all in’ with us in working to advance the Florida Chamber Foundation’s 2030 Blueprint, which is the state’s strategic plan to grow Florida’s economy into the top 10 in the world. Whether supporting the Chamber’s political operations to ensure the right candidates and causes advanced at the ballot box, crafting the business community’s annual legislative agenda – the Florida Business Agenda – or helping us write the Chamber’s next strategic plan, he has been totally committed to advancing the Chamber’s purpose to Secure Florida’s Future,” said Frank C. Walker III, Executive Vice President, Government and Political Relations for the Florida Chamber of Commerce.
